The CSI Medical Kiosk 

The 9K Health Resource System Medical Kiosk is a completely redesigned, FDA approved health kiosk with 11 Patents issued or pending. The CSI medical kiosk provides HIPAA compliant security & privacy for clinically accurate blood pressure, heart rate, and weight, health risk assessment measurements, and a personal health record management system that keeps all of your health information secure, organized and readily accessible.
 
 
 

Hardware

The 9K Health Resource System medical kiosk provides a wide variety of user-friendly, non-invasive testing devices such as thermometer and pulse oximeter, as well as future integration capabilities. And it’s designed to synch with medical devices that generate data such as glucose and cholesterol results. The 9K medical kiosk initially provides interface ports for 12 non-invasive devices and can be expanded to 24 ports. CSI is continually adding new devices and interfaces which can be tailored to meet specific client device requirements and specifications.
 

Authentication

In addition to the diagnostic capabilities, the Health Resource System Medical Kiosk provides a variety of authentication techniques (including biometrics) to ensure data privacy, security, and integrity. Security can include any combination of authentication including a 16-digit magnetic stripe card, 4-digit PIN, thumbprint, photo ID, and signature. Any data captured at the medical kiosk including demographics, medical history, personal health information, and vital signs can be archived to any personal health record system and is completely HIPAA compliant. 

Privacy

The 9K Health Resource System offers an electronic privacy curtain providing for discrete encounters at the device. The Food & Drug Administration mandates that, if private health information or engagement with a medical professional is to occur from a device in a public place, a privacy measure is mandatory. CSI is the only solution provider to emphasize the use of privacy measures that are incorporated into a medical kiosk solution.

Personal Health Record

CSI has an integrated Personal Health Record System. The creation and adoption of a PHR is an important step toward “member consumerism” and is an important initial milestone in employee adoption. CSI’s PHR is intended to point to specific health information exchanges, PHR’s and EMR’s for optimal data capture and processing.
 

Security of Personal Data

All information is maintained in a secure, SAS70 certified “hub” environment that meets or exceeds all applicable HIPAA standards for data security and privacy. The Health Resource System Medical Kiosk Platform is built on Microsoft IIS web server, using the Microsoft .NET Framework for application development, and Microsoft SQL Server for data storage. This architecture provides a robust, scalable, enterprise-class architecture for centralizing application development, web services (SOAP or XML over HTTPS), and deep integration with existing administrative and clinical systems. The result is the ability to leverage existing skill sets and applications within and beyond the client organization, to receive maximum functionality, value and return on investment.
